YOUR AI. YOUR WORK. YOUR PERMISSIONS.

Let your assistantwork with the real work.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a standard way for an AI assistant to connect to another application. RedRover’s MCP gives compatible assistants a permission-controlled way to read and update your delivery work.

WHY IT MATTERS

A conversation can become progress.

When an assistant only has text you pasted, its picture of the work gets old. With MCP, it can retrieve current permitted records, follow their relationships, and make the supported changes you ask for.

Current context

Find work across connected workspaces. Read requirements, tasks, releases, and milestones within the access you grant.

Useful actions

Create and update supported work items, add notes, plan focus blocks, and work with your own time records.

Visible results

The change is saved in RedRover. Your team can see the resulting task or update through its normal access.

ACCESS YOU CHOOSE

Start with read access. Add actions when you need them.

A workspace owner enables MCP. Each person creates a connection, chooses the allowed workspaces and capabilities, and uses their own key.

Your identity

The assistant acts as the person who owns the key. A connection cannot grant more access than that person has.

Your boundaries

Workspace limits and connection permissions are checked alongside current membership. Revoked or expired keys lose access.

Your choice of client

The current key-based setup supports Codex mode, Claude Code, and compatible MCP clients. ChatGPT connections require OAuth, which RedRover does not currently support.

GET CONNECTED

Included in your RedRover plan.

MCP is part of the product. Bring a compatible client and your own authorized connection. Any separate AI-provider or client charges are outside RedRover’s subscription.

1. Enable a workspace

An owner or administrator allows MCP access and sets the workspace limits.

2. Create your connection

Open My MCP connections, choose the workspace and access, and securely save your key.

3. Ask for a useful next step

Start with a read-only question about your work. Add write access for the supported changes you intend to make.

The current MCP release focuses on work items and personal planning/time. It does not expose approvals, signatures, Task Orders, financial values, files, account administration, or Knowledge Base content. Maggie’s in-app tools have a separate scope.
