Good ideas do not wait for another tab.
Bring Notes forward and start writing with one desktop shortcut. Capture a meeting, a rough idea or the detail you need to remember. Format it your way, add files, and file it where it belongs.
- Quick capture with ⌘ / Ctrl + Shift + N
- Rich text, checklists, tables and attachments
- Folders, pinned notes and Markdown export
The work you need. The notes that help.
Stop hunting through tabs for what matters today. Bring RedRover tasks and requirements beside your own notes. Choose a simple list or a board of colored stickies, and shape a day you can actually see.
- Your high-priority tasks and work due this week
- Browse workspaces, releases, requirements and tasks
- Start a timer or complete linked work with your existing permissions
Some thoughts need their own key.
Personal notes belong to you. Choose a password lock, or encrypt a note’s text, title and attachments in storage. Use a separate note password to open protected content.
- Workspace members and administrators cannot browse your personal notes
- AES-256-GCM protects encrypted text and attachments in storage
- Locked and encrypted notes stay unavailable to MCP
Connected does not mean wide open.
MCP connects your tools to permitted RedRover work. Choose the connection you want Notes to use. Separately decide whether that connection may read, add, edit or delete unprotected personal notes.
- Use your RedRover account; MCP is optional
- Existing account and workspace permissions still apply
- Personal-note access starts off, with separate controls for every connection

Mobile is planned. Today, Notes is a desktop app.
Small app. A useful part of your day.
Keep a place for thought beside the tools you already use.
Write now. Sync later.
New offline captures are saved on your device for later sync. Existing cloud notes need a connection.
Track time where work lives.
Start and stop timers on linked tasks and requirements. Time belongs to the original RedRover work item and keeps running when Notes closes.
Make it your space.
Organize folders, pin useful notes, choose sticky colors, and use the app menu for settings and published updates.
Are my personal notes visible to my team?
No. Personal notes are scoped to your account and your user. Workspace membership and administrator access do not grant access to them.
What does encryption protect?
Encrypted note text, its first-line title, attachment metadata and stored attachment content. This is encryption at rest. The application handles readable content during an authorized unlock. Folder names and structural IDs and timestamps remain ordinary metadata.
Can AI or MCP open an encrypted note?
No. Protected notes cannot be unlocked, read, changed, exported or deleted through MCP. Access to unprotected notes is a separate opt-in for each of your connections.
Can I work offline?
You can create new captures on your device and sync them later. Reading or editing existing cloud notes and using connected work requires a connection.
Which devices can I use?
The current desktop release is for Mac with Apple Silicon. A Windows x64 unsigned preview is available. A mobile app is planned; it is not available yet.
Is Notes included with RedRover?
Yes. Notes is part of the complete RedRover offering. RedRover is free during beta and free for Hatchery customers. Apply for Early Access if you need a RedRover account; applying does not automatically create an account.
